Jeep Announces Exciting Five-Year Plan

Yesterday afternoon, the Jeep Brand announced its five-year business plan at the FCA Investor Meeting with some very exciting news regarding current and upcoming vehicle launches through 2018. Included in the announcement is news the Grand Cherokee will get a major refresh at the end of 2015, an all-new Wrangler will debut in 2017, and a three-row Grand Wagoneer will debut in 2018!

2014: Jeep’s 2015 Renegade will be the first new product to join the Jeep lineup, and it will be one of the first truly global models for the brand starting production and going on sale in Europe before it even comes to the U.S.

2015: Near the end of 2015, Jeep will be giving the current Grand Cherokee its second major refresh since it was first introduced in 2010. The SRT version will remain in production, though all other SRT-badged vehicles will be sold as Dodges.

2016: In celebration of its 75th anniversary, Jeep has a busy year planned for 2016. During Q2, Jeep will be killing off the current Patriot and Compass, which will be nine years old at that point. Both of these vehicles will be replaced by a single vehicle in the compact SUV segment. Also due sometime in the middle of 2016 is a refresh of the Jeep Cherokee that just recently went on sale.

2017: In Q2 of 2017, a new Wrangler will make its debut while Q3 will bring a new Grand Cherokee. In between those major launches, the Renegade will get a major update.

2018: Jeep will finally be launching its three-row Grand Wagoneer during Q3 to round out its five-year plan.
