SEMA Show 2015

The SEMA Show is the largest car show in the world, and an industry only event that gathers the automotive aftermarket from around the globe. While companies write business, get contacts and show off their products in their booth spaces, the real stars of SEMA are the plethora of custom vehicles that truly highlight the possible applications of all these aftermarket products. SEMA off-road vehicles range from mild to wild and mall crawler to rock crawler. Below is a cross section of the interesting off-road rigs spotted at SEMA 2015, with a heavy lean towards the more useable builds for off-road and overland travel.

It’s a car, it’s a truck, it’s a lifted off-road monster and it’s all kinds of cool!

There were only a few crossover vehicles that had been upgraded for light duty off-road use at SEMA 2015. A hand full of Toyota RAV4 and a few Hyundai Tucson, like this “Urban Adventurer” edition overland rig.

LOTS of Jeeps at SEMA 2015, as per usual. The Jeep JK received the Hottest 4×4-SUV SEMA Award for the 7th year in a row. Their were also a lot of military inspired vehicles around the show. While these airless tires might work great to keep a vehicle moving when being shot at, I’m not so sure they would be very good in muddy conditions.

Because all lifted monster tired Jeeps should have a mohawk.

There were stretched 6 seater, custom bodied, crazy huge tired, massively lifted and even this 6×6 Jeep at SEMA 2015.

The Titan XD is going to stir up the 1/2 and 3/4 ton truck markets. It comes standard with a ton of options, is Cummins Diesel-powered and can be built up like this one to handle the harshest of terrain.

LOTS of Toyota Tundras built in all kinds of different styles spotted around SEMA 2015. This build is ready to camp down by the river and help you hook the big one.
