Overland Experts Announces New Ownership

October 25, 2022

Established in 1998, Overland Experts, one of the oldest off road driver training schools in the country, has announced a new and sweeping ownership structure. Founder and curriculum creator Bruce Elfstrom has announced that long-time OEX instructors and curriculum developers Erik Eisensmith and J.B. McClure III have acquired ownership of Overland Experts. The new ownership, effective immediately, will allow Overland Experts to remain the premier provider of off-road driver training to the US Military, its industrial clients, and civilian/recreational drivers both nationally and internationally. OEX’s students and partners can expect the same excellent training as well as a fun and unique experience that the company has become famous for.

J.B. McClure III joined OEX in 2008 followed by Erik Eisensmith in 2010. They have both served as instructors as well as Director of Marketing and CFO, respectively. Throughout their tenure, they have expanded OEX’s business into industrial training and further developed and expanded their recreational training market. They both promise to continue to earn the respect of Overland Expert’s clients, partners, students, and incredible staff.

Overland Experts serves clients seeking to make the best possible use of their vehicles. Whether they want to four-wheel as a sport, learn safer ways to operate a SUV, or are planning a major expedition, OEX is there with challenging driving courses located in Connecticut, North Carolina, and Utah. The OEX staff is a highly experienced group of drivers who share a passion for using a vehicle as a means to enjoy and experience the outdoors, or to embrace journey to any destination, no matter how challenging or mundane.
