Ford Collaborates on New Bronco Filson Edition
June 9, 2026
Ford and Filson have unveiled the first-ever Bronco® Filson™ SUV, a rugged premium 4×4 that combines Bronco’s Built Wild™ capability with Filson’s century-long reputation for durable outdoor gear. Designed for drivers who seek adventure without sacrificing comfort, the new Bronco Filson joins the Bronco lineup as a limited-production model set to arrive in dealerships in early 2027.

Customers asked us to create a Bronco that takes premium materials, driving experience, and off-road capability to a new level. One that matches the very best gear in their kit. Bronco Filson is the answer to that question.
“Bronco buyers don’t just want a vehicle — they want a partner for wherever they’re headed,” said Andrew Frick, president, Ford Blue and Ford Model e. “Filson has spent generations building products trusted in the harshest environments imaginable, and that same mindset shaped every detail of this vehicle.”
The Bronco Filson blends off-road performance with premium craftsmanship inspired by Filson’s iconic Tin Cloth jackets and rugged outdoor heritage. While staying true to Bronco’s “Goes Over Any Type of Terrain” roots, the SUV introduces elevated materials, quieter cabin refinement, and utility-focused features tailored for overlanding and outdoor exploration.

“For nearly 130 years, Filson has created gear for people who rely on their equipment in demanding conditions,” said Alex Carleton, chief creative officer at Filson. “The Bronco Filson extends that philosophy into a vehicle that combines capability, utility, and timeless craftsmanship for people who view the outdoors as part of everyday life.”

Powering the Bronco Filson is a proven 3.0-liter EcoBoost® V6 engine shared with Bronco Raptor, tuned specifically for this application to deliver strong power and torque across challenging terrain. Every model comes standard with Ford’s Sasquatch package, which includes front and rear electronic locking differentials, high-performance FOX™ internal bypass shocks, and 35-inch rugged-terrain tires engineered to balance trail capability with reduced on-road noise.
Additional off-road technology includes Trail Turn Assist, Trail 1-Pedal Drive for low-speed rock crawling, and Ford’s Terrain Management System with seven selectable G.O.A.T. Modes™: Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery, Baja, Off-Road, and Rock Crawl.

Inside, Filson designers collaborated closely with Ford’s Bronco team to create a cabin focused on durability and comfort rather than delicate luxury.
“There’s a massive difference between premium and precious,” said Paul Wraith, Ford global design director for SUVs. “Every material inside the Bronco Filson had to feel authentic, tactile, and built to last. This interior is designed to wear in beautifully over time, just like a trusted piece of outdoor gear.”

The interior features quilted leather seating surfaces paired with woven fabric inspired by Filson’s rugged twill materials. Brass accents, a leather-wrapped instrument panel, and unique trim details reinforce the SUV’s outdoors-inspired design language.
Ford says the Bronco Filson is also the quietest Bronco ever produced. Improved aerodynamics, acoustic glass, and enhanced sealing reduce perceived wind noise by nearly 20 percent compared with the 2021 Bronco. Ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and an upgraded B&O® audio system further enhance comfort during long-distance travel and remote expeditions.

Utility remains central to the Bronco Filson experience. Removable Filson-inspired saddlebags are integrated throughout the cabin, including door-mounted storage and optional cargo-area bags made from water- and dirt-resistant materials. The customizable storage system is designed to carry outdoor essentials ranging from fishing gear to camera equipment and emergency supplies.
Additional functional upgrades include a digital rearview mirror with integrated washer system, power-deployable running boards, and exclusive trail sight tie-downs designed for carrying oversized gear such as kayaks or canoes.

Exterior styling features a unique grille with distinct BRONCO lettering, heritage-inspired wheel arches, painted mirror caps, and several exclusive color options, including Field Green Metallic and Marsh Gray.
Ford will also launch a Bronco Filson First Edition model for North America featuring exclusive Iron Sands Copper Metallic paint, a serialized console badge commemorating the collaboration, unique fender badging, and exclusive Filson cargo storage accessories.

The Bronco Filson will be assembled at Ford’s Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Michigan, alongside the rest of the Bronco lineup. Orders open in fall 2026, with showroom arrivals expected in early 2027.

Ford says pricing for the Bronco Filson will start in the mid-$70,000 range. Customers can also experience the vehicle through the upcoming Bronco Filson Tour, a multi-city showcase launching in July 2026. To accompany the vehicle launch, Ford and Filson will release a limited-edition Bronco x Filson apparel and gear collection available exclusively through Filson retail stores and Filson.com beginning June 4.
