KTM Announces New 2027 690 Rally

KTM is returning to its Rally Raid roots with the introduction of the 2027 KTM 690 RALLY, a motorcycle designed to bring rally-inspired capability, extended range, and long-distance off-road performance to the proven LC4 platform.
Drawing inspiration from the iconic KTM 640 ADVENTURE, the new 690 RALLY is positioned as its spiritual successor—combining the agility of a lightweight dual-sport motorcycle with the range and stability required for serious backcountry travel.
Built on the proven KTM 690 ENDURO R platform, the 690 RALLY takes the dual-sport foundation in a distinctly long-distance direction. At the center of the transformation is a purpose-built rally tower with an integrated windshield, creating a dedicated cockpit for riders spending extended days navigating remote terrain.
Dual front-mounted fuel tanks increase total fuel capacity to approximately 20 liters, giving riders the range to push farther beyond established routes and deeper into areas where fuel and services can be few and far between.
The result is a motorcycle designed to bridge two worlds: the lightweight, responsive character of an enduro machine and the stability, endurance, and navigation-focused ergonomics associated with rally motorcycles.
From technical off-road sections to faster connecting terrain, the KTM 690 RALLY is engineered for riders who view the end of the pavement as the beginning of the journey. Its combination of increased fuel capacity, rally-oriented cockpit design, and long-distance usability makes it equally suited to extended backcountry routes and ambitious multi-day adventures.
For KTM, the 690 RALLY represents more than a new configuration of the LC4 platform. It marks a return to a philosophy that has defined the brand’s rally heritage for decades: build a motorcycle capable of covering serious distances in difficult terrain, then give the rider the freedom to decide how far the route goes.
