KC Releases Flex Era 4 Mini Auxiliary Light
October 13, 2026
KC HiLiTES has expanded its FLEX ERA lighting lineup with the new FLEX ERA 4 Mini, a compact auxiliary light designed to deliver substantial output while opening up new mounting options for overland rigs, off-road vehicles, and adventure builds.
Drawing on the design and customization of the full-size FLEX ERA 4, the FE4 Mini measures just 3.2 inches wide. Its compact housing is designed to fit a range of mounting locations, including bumpers, fog light pockets, ditch-light brackets, and A-pillars. A symmetrical design also allows the light to be mounted upright or inverted, giving builders additional flexibility when working around vehicle-specific mounting constraints.
Despite its smaller footprint, the FE4 Mini delivers up to 4,684 lumens and 216,250 candela per light. Its Spot beam reaches a claimed distance of up to 658 meters, making it a versatile option for drivers looking to add forward lighting capability without the bulk of a traditional full-size auxiliary pod.
Three Interchangeable Beam Patterns
The FLEX ERA 4 Mini Master Kit gives drivers three beam patterns to choose from, with interchangeable clear lenses for Spot, Combo, and the new Wide-60 configuration. Each kit arrives with Combo lenses installed, while Spot and Wide-60 lenses are included for those who want to tailor their lighting setup to their vehicle and intended use.
The Spot pattern prioritizes long-range illumination, useful for picking out distant terrain on open tracks. Combo balances distance with a broader field of view, while Wide-60 is designed to spread light across the immediate foreground and trail edges.
The new Wide-60 pattern takes inspiration from the optical principles of traditional SAE fog lighting, using a 60-degree spread to improve peripheral visibility rather than concentrating the beam primarily downrange. For overland travelers and off-road drivers navigating technical trails, that broader illumination can help reveal nearby obstacles, trail edges, and terrain transitions.
KC HiLiTES says Wide-60 delivers substantially more output than traditional fog lighting. The company specifies that the beam is intended for off-road use only.
With its compact dimensions, reversible mounting orientation, and three interchangeable beam patterns, the FLEX ERA 4 Mini offers another option for vehicle owners looking to balance lighting performance with the practical realities of bumper space, accessory placement, and a clean, functional build.
