Midland Launches MXT295PRO Wireless GMRS

August 20, 2026

Midland has expanded its Next-Generation MicroMobile® radio lineup with the launch of the MXT295 PRO 15-Watt MicroMobile®, bringing wireless Bluetooth® communication to drivers and adventurers who rely on dependable connectivity far beyond the pavement. Designed for overlanding, off-road travel and vehicle-based exploration, the new radio combines 15 watts of power with a rugged, IP67-rated design and Midland’s first wireless Bluetooth-enabled microphone.

The MXT295 PRO eliminates the need to remain tethered to the radio’s head unit, giving drivers and passengers the flexibility to communicate from behind the wheel or while working outside the vehicle. For overlanders setting up camp, spotting a vehicle through a technical section or coordinating a group on the trail, the wireless microphone adds another layer of convenience to vehicle-based communication.

Engineered for demanding outdoor environments, the MXT295 PRO features an IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating to help withstand mud, dust, rain and the unpredictable conditions encountered on remote trails. Its 15-watt output provides dependable communication for off-road convoys, backcountry travel and vehicle-to-vehicle coordination.

“The MXT295 PRO delivers that signature MicroMobile® quality our customers rely on, now completely cable free so you don’t have to be tethered to the head unit,” said Jeremy Pensick, CEO at Midland. “Our commitment to innovation that fits our customers’ needs is clear, and this next gen is smarter, stronger and more flexible than ever before.”

Built for Life Beyond the Pavement

The MXT295 PRO is equipped with 22 standard GMRS channels, 28 pre-programmed privacy-code channels and 99 PC-programmable channels, giving users extensive flexibility for everything from organized group rides to private trail communications.

Its Bluetooth capabilities also extend beyond the included wireless microphone. The radio is compatible with most Bluetooth headsets and accessories, including Bluetooth PTT buttons, allowing users to tailor the system to their vehicle and communication needs.

For groups traveling in noisy environments, the MXT295 PRO adds a new wired intercom jack designed to provide clear, noise-reduced communication inside the vehicle. The feature is particularly useful for side-by-sides and other open-air vehicles, as well as overland rigs where road, engine and trail noise can make communication difficult.

An integrated PA function provides another useful tool when coordinating activities around the vehicle or communicating in high-noise environments.
